“Just wanted to share my gut health journey in case it can help someone. For almost 15 years I've struggled with severe gut issues. At one point I was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease - Crohn's disease - and was treated for several other GI related issues. I thought that was just the way my life was going to be. With the added stressors of life events from 2020 and 2021 my gut health was out of control.

In Feb 2023, I went on a hiking trip with my hiking group. That trip was an eye opener for me as I barely made it up the mountain. I had the worst muscle cramps, had no energy, blood sugar kept dropping along with my usual GI issues. I was in tears by the time I made it to the top. Thankfully on this trip I got to meet my friend Candace who just happened to be a Functional Nutritonal Therapy Practitioner. I decided I needed her help because I was tired of being miserable, always tired/brain fog, and spending my day worrying about .

Candace had me complete this health questionnaire to see which protocol we needed to start with - of course GUT protocol it was!:We did testing and found I had several food sensitivities (included foods I ate on a daily basis ), Candida overgrowth, H. Pylori along with several other GI markers out of range. (Side note did you know you should rotate your probiotics? I didn't hence some of my issues.)

I followed her Gut protocol she put in place and within weeks felt so much better. By the end of my 4 month protocol - I had lost 30lbs and my GI issues resolved. (I do another 4 month protocol just to clear up the last little bit of H. Pylori I had). I have now been able to add foods back into my diet and have not gained any of that weight back and am still feeling great with NO GI ISSUES!! I retested in January and no longer have candida, h. Pylori or any other out of range GI markers.

Yesterday Jeremy and I decided to do a 8 mile hike that was rated hard. I had my personal best time of minutes/mile!! Pic on the left was yesterday. Pics on the right are from this time last year.
